Mig hefur ætíð langað til að valda einhverjum hugarangri. Mér finnst það töff. Sjáið þið það ekki fyrir ykkur, mig sitjandi inni á myrkvuðu bókasafni rýnandi í skræður fornar og handrit fyrrum konunga, sem löngu eru fallnir í gleymskunnar dá. Gamall maður í tættum rykfrakka með Stetsonhatt vindur sér upp að mér og rýfur þögnina með orðunum: Þú veldur mér hugarangri! Þá gæti ég svarað eitthvað á þessa leið: Ég veit. Eða: Ekki vanmeta mig gamli maður.

Annars er ýmislegt á döfinni: Uppgjör við enskukennarann (ég tel mig ekki þurfa á „kennslu“ hennar að halda), tvö kvikmyndahandrit, forpróf fyrir Gettu betur (sakar ekki að reyna), almennar greinaskriftir og ritsmíðar; lagasmíðar og útfæringar. Í ofanálag er ég að lesa nokkrar bækur. Svo eru alltaf málfundir. Þeim ber ekki að gleyma.

Lag dagsins: The One that got away – Tom Waits. Ef einhvurjir lesendur das Blog der Straße vilja komast í sjöttaáratugsfílíng skulu þeir næla sér í þetta. Annað gott lag eftir meintan tvífara minn er lagið Small Change (Got rained on with his own .38), en bæði lögin eru á samnefndri plötu. Hér er textinn við fyrra lagið:
